Undergraduate Programs
The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).
Students are able to earn degrees in Bachelor of Arts in Art, Bachelor of Arts in Art History, Bachelor of Arts in Cinema Studies, and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art. We also offer minors in art history, cinema studies, and studio art, and stand-alone elective courses for non-majors.
Our programs prepare students to pursue graduate work or a variety of career options, including fine artist, illustrator, digital artist, photographer, media artist, film maker, gallery director, museum staff member, arts administrator, and art teacher or professor.
Undergraduate majors enjoy the advantages of small studio art classes and the benefits of a large university with its wealth of activities and course selections. The School of Art’s role is to guide students toward individual creative and educational fulfillment.
