Our MFA in Studio Art

Our fully funded, three-year MFA in Studio Art gives students the time, resources and support they need to develop a unique artistic voice.

Students can concentrate in Sculpture, Time-Based Art, Ceramics, Painting and Drawing, or Printmaking while living in Knoxville, a dynamic city with an arts district recently ranked 2nd in the nation by U.S.A Today. They work closely with our world-renowned faculty to hone and expand their creative and academic skills, explore new ideas and mediums, and grow their professional skills to facilitate a successful and sustainable career in the arts and beyond.

Alumni from our graduate program go on to win competitive awards, secure prestigious residencies and faculty positions, exhibit their work nationally and internationally, support and facilitate the arts in their communities, and more.
