A Message from the Director
Welcome to the School of Art website. I hope you will find yourself returning often to learn more about the School and our various events and activities—from lectures by visiting artists and scholars to professional exhibitions in the Ewing Gallery of Art and Architecture and the UT Downtown Gallery, from exhibitions at Tennessee’s only student-run, off-campus Gallery 1010 to national exhibitions and awards by our faculty and students.
US News & World Report ranks the School of Art MFA program 22nd among public universities across the country. Our graduate program in printmaking is ranked 4th nationally, from a total of some 200 programs. These rankings are significant, but we are especially proud of the many accomplishments of our faculty, our alumni, and our students.
We welcome you to find out more about the School of Art. Come to an exhibition or lecture, schedule a personal tour, and visit us on Instagram and Facebook.
