Cinema Studies Student to Intern with Omaha Productions

June 2, 2026

Recent Cinema Studies graduate Emma Brown obtained a internship with Omaha Productions, a company founded by NFL Hall of Famer Peyton Manning in 2020. Brown will spend the summer in Los Angeles working for Omaha Productions’ scripting department.

Brown said her time at the University of Tennessee, especially her class with CNST chair Paul Harrill, helped prepare her for work in the film industry.

“Paul helped me prepare for the interview and has always been there to give advice,” she said. “It’s very fun to learn from someone who is actively working in the industry.”

Her advice for current students interested in competitive industry internships? Talk to people.

“Make as many connections as possible,” Brown said. “People are more likely to advocate for you when they know you personally.”
