Shelley Gentry

Business Manager

Shelley Gentry has been the Business Manager in the School of Art since September 2010. She has worked for the University of Tennessee since October 1994, first working in the College of Arts and Sciences for over eleven years and then moving to the Office of Lab Animal Care on the Ag Campus for 4 years.

Shelley manages the School of Art’s budget, financial, and human resource operations. She ensures fiscal compliance, prepares the annual operating budgets and reports, processes accounts payables and receivables, verifies procurement cards, processes travel and assists in establishing financial standards and policies. In addition, she is the human resource administrator for the department.

Shelley has been married to her husband John for 30 years, and they have two children and four grandchildren. She enjoys going for rides through the Smokies on her husband’s Harley, going trail riding on their Razor with friends and family, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
