Heather Coker Hawkins Film Screenings of Gravity Wins
Gravity Wins, a dance film short by Heather Coker Hawkins, has been selected and is being screened at the UNDER_the_RADAR Festival and Conference for Artistic Film, Animation and Experimental Sequential Media held in Vienna, Austria April 17 – 23. The film was also selected for the Greensboro Dance Film Festival which screened February 25th in Greensboro, North Carolina.
In a description of the short film, Coker Hawkins states, “Collaborations can be fruitful, fitful, and sometimes both. The opponent or obstacle is sometimes internal. This dance video is an exploration of a lifelong collaboration (and constantly shifting relationship) with my dance partner, Gravity. Mostly predictable, not always kind, I accept the challenge to dance with you again.”
