Artist Statement
My paintings and drawings are expressions of my deepest thoughts and emotions. I use different techniques like replacing, combining, and removing elements to create imaginary characters and scenes. Delicate lines and intricate shapes add layers of depth, while transparent colors and abstract forms bring a sense of movement to my work. The image of a cage often appears in my art, symbolizing confinement, restriction, and oppression. I explore these ideas by depicting cage-like creatures, growing tree branches, and abstract self-portraits within enclosed spaces. These elements reflect how we can be trapped by our own fears and insecurities. My art seeks to shed light on these invisible cages and inspire others to break free. Flying birds, fish, negative spaces, and organic patterns often appear, representing the idea of freedom.
