Daily Beacon Features Visiting Artist Lonnie Holley and the Downtown Gallery

March 22, 2023

Lonnie Holley Visit Lonnie Holley

The Downtown Gallery enjoyed hosting an exhibit of a variety of works by found materials artist Lonnie Holley as part of the Big Ears Festival celebration. The exhibition took place from March 3 to April 2, 2023.  As part of this year’s festival, Holley had an artist residency and performances at the end of March. (Holley is represented by Blum & Poe, Los Angeles/New York/Tokyo)

UT sculpture students had the chance to collaborate with the artist and musician prior to his appearance at the Big Ears Festival.

The Daily Beacon included a detailed presentation of the events on Holley’s schedule in an article by Allison Murphy, on April 3, 2023. ( Read the story in the Daily Beacon)
