Handheld

For over 20 years, the School of Art has hosted the Handheld Film Festival. This celebration of student films, videos, animations, and audio works generally occurs twice a year at the end of the fall and spring semester. It includes the best and most interesting work being made in time-based art and cinema studies classes from foundations to graduate levels, providing cash prizes for the winners and showcasing student work to the UT and wider Knoxville communities. Information about entries and festival dates is sent out to Cinema Studies and TBA students before the end of each semester.
