Assess your future
The Bachelor of Arts degree in art history is designed for students interested in studying the formal, biographical, theoretical, and cultural contexts of artistic production. Our area faculty provide instruction in the global history of art, from the ancient period to the present, through a range of interpretive methods. BA students in art history can also enhance their studies by pursuing a double major or a minor in a foreign language, studio art, or museum and curatorial studies. The degree prepares students for careers in museums, galleries, auction houses, and other cultural institutions, as well as conservation, education, business and law, and provides a foundation for graduate studies in the field.
