Artist Residencies + Internships

Internships increasingly play a vital role in a student’s professional preparation, and their importance in helping a student pursue a career in the arts cannot be overstated.

Students the University of Tennessee School of Art are strongly encouraged to pursue internships in Knoxville (and beyond. Please enroll in the Canvas site to read more about securing credit for Art and Art History internships at UT.

To begin their search, student can discuss opportunities with their faculty mentors and explore the comprehensive and actively managed database of artist residencies on the Artist Communities Alliance website.
