Andrea Bailey

Andrea Bailey is a nonprofit professional with twenty years of experience building organizational capacity. Andrea combines passion and education in cultural nonprofits with business acumen to effectively lead transformational initiatives. As Executive Director of the Aslan Foundation, Andrea oversees a $6M annual budget focused on supporting the Knoxville community. Priorities for funding include arts and culture, animal welfare, land conservation, historic preservation, and outdoor recreation. In late 2019, the Aslan Foundation will launch the Loghaven Artist Residency. The Residency will nurture artists of excellence from around the country and the world by providing time, space, and resources to create within Loghaven’s 100 acres of inspiring woodlands and historic structures. Andrea’s past experience includes leadership roles in cultural organizations in Orlando and Boston with a focus on physical and programmatic expansion. Her bachelor’s degree in art history and master’s degree in business illustrate her interest in building sustainability and nurturing innovation within the creative community.

“I’m looking forward to using my nonprofit leadership experience to promote excellence and sustainability within the School of Art for the students, faculty, and Knoxville community,” Andrea says.
