Artist Lecture with Dani Levine, November 9, at 5:30 pm
Dani Levine, Fall 2023 Artist in Residence with the UT School of Art painting and drawing department, will be presenting an artist lecture on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 5:30 pm. The event will take place in Room 109, the McCarty Auditorium of the Art and Architecture Building. The public is invited to attend.
Dani Levine is an artist and educator living in Astoria, NY. Combining an alchemical practice of mixing pigments and binders with other found materials, Levine’s work celebrates imaginative thinking through investigations of craft and abstraction. Through her work, she investigates topics of chance, agency, and willfulness. Dani is an adjunct professor at Pratt Institute and Swarthmore College and regularly lectures at schools such as Tyler School of Art, Princeton, and Boston University.
