INCOMING FRESHMAN SCHOLARSHIPS
The University of Tennessee School of Art offers an incoming freshman scholarship program for outstanding art students who have an interest in coming to the University of Tennessee . The School of Art offers scholarships to prospective art majors in amounts of up to $5,000 each year.

To be eligible for one of these awards candidates must fulfill the general UT admission requirements and be admitted for the Fall 2007 semester as pre-majors in the School of Art. In addition they must submit an application to the School of Art that will include:

  1. Completed application form  (click link to download PDF application - 206KB)
  2. 1-2 page statement explaining your interest in art and what you hope to accomplish in your undergraduate career.
  3. 10 – 15 images of your work - slides, PowerPoint presentation, or digital jpeg files on CD (each image 2MB or less, Mac computer read only).
  4. Image list including title, medium, and size.
  5. High School Transcript.
  6. A self-addressed stamped envelope for the return of their work.

Application materials should arrive at the School of Art no later than the deadline provided in January 2009. Notification of awards will be contingent on being accepted to the University of Tennessee.
