191 Introduction to Studio Art: Various Media (3)
Individual sections for various artistic disciplines. For Non-majors only. Courses may be repeated, medium may not be repeated. Maximum 12 hours.

262 Intaglio I (3)
Intaglio printing in traditional and contemporary techniques of etching, softground, drypoint, aquatint, and color methods. Prereq: 101.

263 Lithography I (3)
Stone, aluminum and polyester plate lithography applying traditional and contemporary techniques of crayon, tusche, transfer methods, state proofs and photolithography. Prereq: 101.

264 Screen Printing I (3)
Screen printing as a fine art medium including development and application of various handcut and photo stencils in compositional printing. May be repeated. Maximum 6 hours. Prereq: 101.

265 Relief Printing I (3)
Relief printing using traditional and contemporary methods from wood, linoleum, and sintra. May be repeated. Maximum 6 hours. Prereq: 101.

265 Mono Printing I (3)
Contemporary approaches to monoprint and monotype using combinations of planographic, relief and intaglio methods. May be repeated. Maximum 6 hours. Prereq: 101.

269 Special Topics in Printmaking (3)
Student or instructor-initiated course offered at convenience of department. Prereq: 101 and determined by department for individual topic. May be repeated. Maximum 12 hours.

291 Papermaking Workshop (3)
Papermaking as a medium for two and three-dimensional art. Includes sheet forming, imbedding, laminating, embossing, pulp dyeing, inlaying, casting, and other related techniques. This course includes exploration of book forms and structures. Emphasis on development of a personal concepts.

360 Printmaking Portfolio Review (0)
Review of prior work in printmaking. Successful completion required prior to registration for junior and senior courses. Prereq: Art History 172 and 173 with a grade of C or better. Satisfactory/No credit only.

361 Intermediate Print Workshop(1-6)

Exploration of concepts and techniques in intaglio, lithography, screenprint and/or relief printing. Prerequisite is any one of the following courses: 262, 263,264, 265, 266 or 269 and 360 or consent of instructor. May be repeated. Maximum 8 hours.

461 Advanced Print Workshop(1-6)
Continued exploration of concepts and techniques in intaglio, lithography, screenprint and/or relief printing. Prerequisite: 361 or consent of instructor. May be repeated. Maximum 8 hours.

469 Special Topics in Printmaking (3)
