2008 Printmaking Reunion

The UTK Printmaking Alumni Reunion took place on the first night of the SGC Conference in Richmond, Virginia on Wednesday March 26th at the Capital Ale House. Twelve UT alumni were able to attend and to receive marvelous door prizes offered by the UT Bookstore. Below is a picture from the gathering. Our 2009 Reunion will take place in conjunction with the SGC Conference in Chicago, Illinois in March 25-28, 2009.



Our former MFA and BFA students are pursuing a variety of careers, as independent artists, college and university faculty, freelance and corporate designers, as printers and publishers, and as public school teachers.

One of our recent graduates Shaurya Kumar (MFA 2007) is an Assistant Professor of Art at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Kelley Walker (BFA 1995) was represented in the 2006 Whitney Biennial. Josh Smith (BFA 1998) is reviewed in the summer 2006 issue of Artforum. Mark Hosford (MFA 2001) is an Assistant professor of Art at Vanderbilt University and the juror of the 2006 Southern Printmaking Biennial at North Georgia College and State University.
