Exhibition in India features Prints
by Faculty and Graduate students
Prints by Faculty and Graduate students
from the print program of School of Art University of Tennessee,
Knoxville were presented in an exhibition from November 1 to 10,
2006 in the Palm Court Area, India Habitat Center, New Delhi and
will be shown from November 28 to December 10, 2006 in ABS Lanxess
Gallery, Vadodara Gujarat. A delegation of 9, including professor,
graduate students and staff from the university attended the opening
reception and travelled to 4 different states in India, giving lectures,
technical demonstrations and visiting art and historical sites.
The exhibition is organized by a third year
graduate student Shaurya Kumar and Amit Kumar Jain, curator of Navsar,
India. The exhibition is sponsored by the College of Arts &
Sciences, the EPPE Fund and Office of Research at the University
of Tennessee, Knoxville; Betsy Worden Endowment Fund; U.S. Embassy,
New Delhi; India Habitat Center, New Delhi and ABS Lanxess Gallery,
Vadodara, Gujarat.
A 24 page color catalogue will be printed
in conjuction to the exhibition with the support of U.S.Embassy,
