ADVISING

The following information is available for students at UTK enrolled in or interested in the Graphic Design program.

Pre-Portfolio = Students who have not yet passed portfolio review need to read this information carefully.

Juniors + Seniors = Students who have passed portfolio review and are enrolled in 300 or 400 level Design classes will be advised in their current core class (351, 352, 451, or 452). Your advisor will be whoever is teaching your core sequence class that semester.

Transfer students = Students who wish to transfer into the Design program should contact the School of Art office and schedule an appointment to have your transcript reviewed. At that time you will need to schedule a time in which to bring your portfolio in to be reviewed by the graphic design faculty. This is required in order to determine the class in which you should be placed.
