ARROWMONT

40 miles east of the UT campus and two miles from the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Gatlinburg, Tennessee lies Arrowmont. This internationally known visual arts complex is reknown for its intensive oneand two week spring and summer workshops in clay, fiber, surface design, metal, enamel, woodturning, furniture, stained and kiln glass, apaper/book arts, mixed media, drawing, painting and photography. Weekend and week-long workshops are available in October. In November and December Arrowmont offers evening adult community classes and Saturday morning children's community classes in January and February. Arrowmont proudly hosts national and international faculty.

The complex includes five galleries, with an active schedule of juried, invitational. theme and media-related exhibitions, a large scale resource center offering a collection of art and craft boks and periodicals, and a well-stocked book and supply store. Arrowmont has an 11-month artists-in-residency program.

Students can recieve undergraduate and graduate credit for spring and summer classes through the UT School of Art. For course offerings and additional information visit their website at
