3D Printing Lab

Welcome to the School of Art 3D Printing Lab! Where you can watch your digital creations become real as our amazing printer fabricates your object in three dimensions!

Tuesday  8-11 a.m., 1-4 p.m.
Thursday  8-11 a.m., 1-4 p.m.
Friday 8-4 p.m.
Please Note:  We will not be able to accommodate starting prints or scans at the time of close, please arrive 30 minutes before to allow time to complete projects.


Prices are charged by weight.
Prices below include 3D Prints implementing the standard PLA and ABS available in the lab.

Print Price: $1 per print, plus an additional $0.06 per gram of material used

Students may wish to order their own filament. Prices for 3D prints implementing the student’s own filament are $1 each print.

Please note: It can sometimes take a few failed prints before a successful version is obtained. This is sometimes due to issues with the original STL file, other times additional machine calibration is required. In the case of the former, ALL PRINTS are charged, even the failed ones.

Who can print

University of Tennessee Students are invited to use the lab. Teachers are welcome to bring in classes to check out the lab. Please email if you have questions about accommodating this.
